On AdSpends's official website

AdSpends is the best overall choice if you want Meta Ad Library data with EU reach inside Claude, ChatGPT or your own code, without building or babysitting a scraper. It keeps an indexed database of Meta ads, attaches EU reach and an estimated ad spend to every ad, and serves it through a REST API and a hosted MCP server.

That matters for cost: scraper APIs return EU reach only from a separate details call per ad, so 1,000 ads with reach take over 1,000 requests. With AdSpends, 1,000 ads are 1,000 credits with reach and spend already included. For AI work, responses are compact (about 290 tokens per ad) and every MCP tool lists its credit cost.

If you need every ad in every country, including ads never delivered in the EU, pair it with a raw scraper such as the Curious Coder Apify actor.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • EU reach comes with every result, so 1,000 ads cost 1,000 credits instead of 1,000+ extra details requests
  • Built for AI agents: OAuth in Claude and ChatGPT, compact responses and a documented credit cost per tool
  • Ad spend estimates and landing page search, which raw scrapers do not provide
  • Queries hit an indexed database, so nothing breaks when Meta changes the Ad Library front end

Cons

  • Spend figures are estimates derived from EU reach (at a €30 CPM), not Meta-reported spend
  • Coverage is strongest for ads delivered in the EU; it is not a raw dump of every global ad
  • Subscription pricing makes less sense for a single one-off export

Using AdSpends with Claude and AI agents

AI & MCP readiness: 5/5. In the Claude apps, add the server URL under Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector; in Claude Code, use the command below.

Official hosted MCP server, 22 read-only tools

Auth: OAuth in Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity; API key in Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot

Server URL

https://app.adspends.com/api/mcp

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http adspends https://app.adspends.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>"

Compact results (about 290 tokens per ad) with reach and spend already calculated, and every tool documents its credit cost, so an agent can budget its own calls.

Verdict: who should use it?

Choose it if…

You want ads with EU reach and spend estimates ready to analyze, or want Claude or ChatGPT to query Meta ads through MCP.

Skip it if…

You need a raw, global export of every ad including non-EU ads, or a one-off scrape where a subscription is overkill.

AdSpends FAQ

Is AdSpends a scraper or an API?

Both, from your point of view. AdSpends collects Meta Ad Library data on its own infrastructure and serves it through a REST API and an MCP server, so you query a database instead of running a scraper yourself.

Does AdSpends include EU reach?

Yes. Every ad comes with the EU reach Meta publishes under the Digital Services Act and an estimated EUR spend derived from it at a €30 CPM. There is no separate details call.

How do I connect AdSpends to Claude?

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://app.adspends.com/api/mcp and approve access in the OAuth window. In Claude Code, run claude mcp add with the same URL and an API key header.
